A fine diversity of applications
Anhydrite is very valued in many areas of activity and has yet to reveal all its potential!
Natural anhydrite is used as a soil modifier, and is well known to cement manufacturers, who use it to slow down setting. In building work, it is used to make liquid screeds, which have naturally become widespread in floor heating systems thanks to their relatively low cost and high thermal conductivity. Anhydrite is also a component of fertilisers, which are made more effective because its characteristics mitigate the sulphur effect. And those are just some of its properties!
